1、X1字签证：长期学习（在华学习时间180天以上）的国际学生须持X1字签证入境，持X1字签证入境的国际学生，须在入境后30日内办理学习类居留许可，逾期未办理则构成非法居留。

2、X2字签证：短期学习（在华学习时间180天以下）的国际学生可持X2字签证入境。签证超期即构成非法居留。

国际学生来华学习须持普通护照及学习（X1字或X2字）签证入境。若国际学生持其他类型签证，可能无法正常在校学习，国际学生本人承担因此而导致的全部后果。

Visa Types

1.X1 visa

X1 Visa is issued to international students undertaking long-term study in Mainland China (more than 180 days). Students holding an X1 visa must apply within 30 days after entry for a residence permit, otherwise it constitutes illegal residence.

2.X2 visa

X2 Visa is issued to international students who will study for fewer than 180 days. Staying in China after the valid visa expires constitutes illegal residence.

International students studying in China must possess ordinary passports with either visa for study (X1 or X2 type). International student entering China with other types of visas may not be able to apply for student's visa or residence permit, and therefore may not be accepted for enrollment. In this case, all the consequences shall be assumed by the student in person.
